Joe and Kathy Halbig 

Joe and Kathy Halbig have been residents of New Mexico since 1996 after moving from the Big Island of Hawaii.  Joe retired as Emeritus Professor of Geology from the University of Hawaii after 30 years of college teaching.  Kathy received a degree in Natural Sciences with secondary teaching certification and taught science in Hawaii and for four years at Cloudcroft High School.  They have four children and currently have a daughter attending Alamogordo High School.
